The Year-End Awards: A Tradition Unveiled

It's the final show of 2025, and NXT is celebrating with its annual End of the Year Awards. These awards are a beloved tradition, offering a unique glimpse into the world of wrestling and its stars. But here's where it gets controversial... the choices made can spark debates and leave fans questioning the outcomes.

North American Title Match: Moose vs. Ethan Page

In a fast-paced battle, Page defends his title against the formidable Moose. The match starts with an aggressive Page, but Moose quickly responds with a powerful spear. The action spills outside, with Moose's arm taking a beating. Page gains momentum with a neckbreaker, but Moose fights back with a suplex. A release Rock Bottom and a backsplash set up a chokebomb, planting Page for a near fall.

The match intensifies as they strike it out, with Page targeting Moose's arm and landing a massive clothesline. A Codebreaker nearly seals the deal for Page, but Moose kicks out, sending Page flying. A spear through the barricade and another inside the ring keep the momentum with Moose. In the end, The Twisted Grin retains the title, with Page's long reign continuing.

Rating: B-

This match delivered, showcasing Page's impressive title reign and his journey towards breaking Oba Femi's record for the longest reign. Beating a former World Champion like Moose solidifies Page's status as a force to be reckoned with.

Male Superstar of the Year: A Surprising Winner

The nominees for Male Superstar of the Year are an impressive bunch: Je'Von Evans, Ricky Saints, Trick Williams, Ethan Page, and Oba Femi. But the winner is... Je'Von Evans! A surprising choice, as Evans hasn't won any major titles. However, it's a popularity vote, so the fans have spoken.

Evans takes the opportunity to reflect on his year and promises an even bigger 2026. He thanks the fans for their support, leaving us wondering what the new year holds for him.

Izzi Dame vs. Tatum Paxley: A War of Words

Izzi Dame is ready to face Tatum Paxley, but her stable, The Culling, isn't so sure. Dame takes to the ring, addressing Paxley's recent outburst. She believes Paxley is overreacting and wants to put an end to it. Paxley enters, calling Dame weak and questioning her courage. Dame fires back, blaming Paxley for losing her Women's Championship.

Paxley gets intense, promising to haunt Dame's memories even after her death. Dame declares playtime over, but Paxley has other ideas. The segment ends with Dame jumping Paxley from behind, only to be met with a prepared Paxley. A nice exchange, leaving fans eager for their match.

Tag Team of the Year: An Unlikely Victory

The nominees for Tag Team of the Year are: Hank & Tank, Zaruca, The Culling, Fatal Influence, and Darkstate. And the winners are... Zaruca! Despite not teaming up frequently, they promise more victories.

Jacy Jayne vs. Wren Sinclair: A Non-Title Bout

In a non-title match, Jacy Jayne faces off against Wren Sinclair. Jayne starts strong with a running shoulder, but Sinclair fights back with some arm work. Jayne attempts a Fujiwara armbar, but Sinclair blocks it, settling for a kick to the arm instead. Fatal Influence provides a distraction, allowing Jayne to kick Sinclair down.

And the winner is... the Stand and Deliver match! A fair choice, considering the high-stakes and intense action.

Swipe Right vs. OTM: Power vs. Pretty Boys

In a tag team match, Swipe Right (with Jackson Drake) faces off against OTM. Swipe Right starts strong, but OTM showcases their power with some loud chops and a leg shot. Baylor takes control with a chinlock, but Price breaks free and returns the favor. In the end, OTM's assisted Alabama Slam finishes Smokes, securing the victory.

Rating: C

This match delivered on its promise, showcasing OTM's power against the pretty boy tag team. It was a much-needed win for OTM, who have had an up-and-down run in NXT. With potential to spare, this win could be the start of something big for them.

Thea Hail's Corner: A New Alliance

Jordynne Grace praises Thea Hail, leading to Hail inviting Grace to be in her corner next week. Grace agrees, but needs some convincing for a hug.

Female Star of the Year: Ruca's Reign
