Aleksandar Kovacevic, a rising ATP player himself, offers insight. He acknowledges that Djokovic's "GOAT" status and intimidating factor are still very much present. "Novak's still got it because of the greatest of all time thing," Kovacevic says. "Sinner and Alcaraz have a little bit of that where it’s like, 'Oh s---' when they walk in the room, otherwise no-one really cares."
Kovacevic's perspective highlights the contrast between the awe-inspiring presence of established stars like Djokovic and the more casual atmosphere among the rest of the players. He emphasizes that while Alcaraz and Sinner are undoubtedly dominant, their aura is more about their talent and success rather than an intimidating presence. "We’re just like clocking into a job and it’s the same guys like every week," he explains.
Despite his own impressive achievements, including two Challenger titles and a career-high ranking of No. 57, Kovacevic's experience against Djokovic is limited. He faced the Serbian legend in the 2023 French Open first round, where Djokovic emerged victorious in straight sets. However, he has yet to encounter Alcaraz or Sinner in a Tour match, leaving room for further exploration of their impact on the locker room dynamics.
